| Welcome
to wyldthingz, located 90 minutes north of San Francisco in our
own "wyld" corner of Wine Country. Here, we specialize
in home raised Savannah cats, accustomed to children, active
dogs, and the activities of daily life. Our wyldthingz are pets
first and breeding cats second, kittens available occasionally. |

In
brief, the Savannah cat was developed using permissible crosses
with Bengal, Oriental shorthair, Egyptian Mau, and spotted Domestic
shorthair cat with the African serval. Fifty percent serval crosses
are termed F1 generation, subsequent crosses are termed F2, F3,
F4 etc. Early generation males are sterile. The goal in breeding
is to maintain the beautiful serval traits and spotting pattern.
Lower generation cats are usually smaller and are a bit easier
to live with as far as activity levels are concerned. All generations
can make excellent pets when raised properly, keeping in mind
that they are curious, confident, and active cats. I fell in
love with both the Savannah’s looks and confident attitudes.
I found a cat that was a social as a dog and wouldn’t be
daunted by our active home. It’s never a dull moment with
a Savannah around. |
